Working Papers In Law
The UCYLex Working Papers in Law is aimed at providing an outlet for both theoretical and empirical papers related to the analysis of law and legal norms. Emphasis is placed on papers on European Law and on Public law, while papers in other aspects of law and of national legal systems are particularly welcome. The UCYLex Working Papers in Law operates by making use of the capabilities and opportunities that the Internet offers in relation to new ways to disseminate legal scholarship and its analyses. Globally, there is plethora of law schools that are now publishing new faculty articles as "Working Papers" with the objective of engaging the scholarly community in the legal research sooner. Moreover, this format enables the faster and parallel communication and access to legal academics, while at the same time without excluding the simultaneous or subsequent access to traditional research channels. Therefore, the authors retain copyright for future publication even after the publication in UCYLex Working Papers in Law that is intended to operate as a fast-track open access platform for the publication of working papers by scholars at the University of Cyprus and globally.
Publications included in UCYLex Working Papers in Law must be the original work of the author(s) and must comply with the guidelines relating to the submission process, as those can be found in the section “Guidelines for Authors”. Finally, the UCYLex Working Papers in Law has been made possible with funding from the Research Promotion Foundation of Cyprus as part of a broader project that started in December 2008. The Coordinator for that project was Dr. Constantinos Kombos.
